  • LDS International Art Competition: All Alike Unto God, 2022
“Becoming Godly” | Size: 49.5 x 49.5 x 1.5 in. | Medium: Glass beads on fabric, mounted on wood
Mandalas are a symbol of wholeness. Patterning glass-beaded mandalas in a circle, Krishna illustrates the journey humanity undergoes to become more like God. Individual mandalas are unique; as each vibrant mandala progresses toward the divinity, it becomes more focused. We slough off weaknesses to become our purest selves— to become godly. Divinity is comprised of translucent beads representing purity and oneness of all colors.
“No matter our own individual situations and souls, we are all alike as we journey through life practicing to become more godlike.”

PARTICIPANT/CURATOR OF EXHIBITIONS

Writ and Vision Gallery:
Visions of our Mother in Heaven, 2019
This is the first art show in the LDS world to showcase our theology of a female supreme being. The guide books we had written doubled as the catalogue for the exhibition.

Writ and Vision Gallery:
Doorways to Divinity, 2023
In India, women hang a toran above a doorway to indicate you are entering sacred space. For this exhibit, I created twelve beaded toran to “frame” another artist’s painting that encapsulated a moment in a woman’s life such as joy, sisterhood, learning, grief.

Sample of Art Pieces

For fifteen years, I’ve created beaded textile art pieces for love of texture, color and shimmer. I find joy in creation. Recently I’ve started making stone sculptures for processing perimenopausal rage and cultivating unflinching hope. Pieces from both mediums have been shown in exhibitions and one selected for an International Art Competition museum show. Everything I create is tied to the wrestling of the intersection of the human and divine. Below are a smattering of some of my favorite creations.
